Chitose, flanked by several guards, approached the tower of the Raikage hastily. It'd been a long journey here and she was eager to finally get some rest after her mission was complete. After a quick climb she knocked twice upon the door leading to the kage's office. She ordered the escorts to stay outside for the time being and entered.
"Shichidaime-sama," She began, bowing her head respectfully while she tried to catch her breath. "I am Sasaki Chitose, second to the Mizukage of Kirigakure. I come at his request." She handed a scroll to the Raikage when she'd finished, which was sealed with the emblem of the hidden village of Mist. It read;
Kotonashi-dono,
I'll get straight to the point; I write to you with a humble request; We believe the time is right for the bi-annual Jounin examinations, and this time we feel the country of lightning has the right to host them. Should you support this proposition, preparations will begin immediately and myself, plus most likely ninja from all across the world, will head towards Kumogakure for the event.
Sasaki Kojirou, Hachidaime Mizukage

Shu was in his office thinking about the recent news about one of his ninjas sided with the slimey snake: Orochimaru. How he survived this long will never be understood, but the main importance is that he's here and now he has an unstable psychopath in his grasp.
Shu was taking out of his thoughts when he heard someone was outside of his door. Soon enough, someone entered, a beautiful women with blue hair with the headband belonging to The Village Hidden in the Mist. Upon introducing herself, Sasaki Chitose handed Shu a scroll and read it.
The scroll explained about Cloud holding the honor of hosting the Jounin Exams, "Of course, I and all of Cloud will be honored to host this event. However..." Shu begun to say, because of the shocking news of one of his own joining forces with the Dreaded Otokage disturbed him, "I wish an audience with the Hachidaime Mizukage upon his arrive. I want to speak with him about these recent events that happened involving one of my ninjas and a commen enemy, it that fine?" Shu asked, he wanted to talk to the Mizukage about the discovery of Orochimaru's existance and how they would act accordingly to eliminate him.

Right on que, Sasaki Kojirou himself walked into the office of the Raikage and bowed his head deeply in respect. He was adorned with robes of a subtle azure blue - matching nicely with his sleek waist-length hair - and quickly approached the desk in the middle of the room. He gave a sharp nod to Chitose as he passed, who decided against speaking up about his sudden arrival and turned to leave the room where she stood outside the door as an acting bodyguard to her husband and lord.
"It's sorted, then." He began, his cold voice content with the quick arrangements, "The next season of Jounin examinations will take place within the hallowed walls of this village. But first; You wished to talk with me?"
Although he had overheard the Raikage speaking as he walked in, he thought it polite to let the latter ask the questions personally. Adjusting the saya on his belt slightly, he took a seat in the room and waited for the other kage to begin.

"Of course, Lord Sasaki." Shu greeted as the Mizukage entered his office and sat in front of him. "As very well know, The snake: Orochimaru has returned, and I have identified one of his followers as one our ninjas." Shu explained, "His name is Senshi Uzeki. He is...a troubled ninja with devestating power, and if that wasn't enough, I received ever graver news." Shu said as the atmoshpere cold more dreaded.
"Have you ever heard about the 'Curse Mark' that Orochimaru was able to give to certain ninjas in his army?" Shu asked, before Chitose had arrive, Shu spent his time digging up what ever he could about Orochimaru. The deepest parts of his scroll records was his study grounds and he found a scroll about the Curse Marks and upon reading the scroll, he found out that it was similiar to what his late ANBU said that was on Senshi Uzeki!

Kojirou nodded slowly as he thought about what he'd just been told. So; The country of lightning was aware of their rogue ninja.
"We know about Uzeki. You'll recall it was a Mist unit who uncovered his betrayal. I've seen the damage he was able to cause to our agent, and I can only gather his strength will have increased under Orochimaru's supervision."
"However... The Curse Mark?" He trailed off for a moment, closing his eyes and thinking carefully. He knew it was a forbidden sealing technique and was linked directly to some of Orochimaru's activities, but not how it worked.
"I'm unsure on the details of the Cursed Seal, but I am aware of the nature of it's use. If you're telling me that your man - this Uzeki - has been granted, and survived, the effects of the curse mark... Things are moving faster that I'd anticipated."
He leaned forward, his face serious and eyes inquisitive as he watched the man behind his desk.
"Tell me everything you can. I was expecting this to be a quick meeting about Jounin examinations; but it seems we need to act on a different matter, and quickly."

"Indeed." The Raikage sighed as he prepared for a long day. "An ANBU was dispatched to apperhend Senshi Uzeki and bring him in for questioning. The ANBU trailled him into deep Sound territory, but that was the last report we got from them, so I expected the worse." Shu said gravely.
"And my fears were correct. After a week since the last report, one of the members return...in critical condition. His was mangled, is miricle on how he ever made it back here, but it was too much for hm as he soon past away." Shu grimly said, "He told me that Uzeki had killed off his entire squad ruthlessly, and that he had that Mark on his neck. I can only image to how powerful he has become with that influence of that mark." Shu explained after knowing wha powers he has heard that mark contained. The Raikage pulled out a scroll he'd come across in his studies that explains the mark and slid it to the Mizukage.
"Read this, it explains the Mark."

Kojirou took the scroll and scanned it quickly, a frown starting to form on his face as he read. After a moment he rerolled the sheet and slipped it into a cloak pocket for later reference, before returning his troubled gaze to the Raikage.
"This man is one of your subordinates - have you any information or such about him we could use to track or defeat him? I understand the power of this man and how easily he was able to overcome an ANBU unit, but we have little choice left other than to try again.
"We need a plan of action, and the right men to carry it out. If anything, we need to fight Senshi on as favorable grounds as possible - lure him out to our own battlefield, separate him from his master and potential allies, utilize what we know about him. It is critical we stop this man as soon as possible. I understand his level of skill and how quickly your ANBU unit was taken out, but I see no alternative than to strike again.
"I will assign two of my subordinates to assist you in this second attempt. They will be under your command and work alongside anyone else you recommend to get the job done. I trust you with this mission and my ninja. Is there anything else you wish to discuss, or shall I bring in my soldiers and proceed with the briefing?"

Shu let out a sigh of frustrasion, at this time, he could not think of a flaw that Senshi had, other then his short temper when it comes to his past, Shu could not think of a way to put them on even grounds with him.
"Unfotunately, Senshi is an extreme threat at close range. If one is not prepared to face him, it'd be suicidal to go toe-to-toe with him now that he has the Mark on him. If can somehow force him in a long range battle, we would stand a better chance than in close combat." Shu suggested, but he knew of Senshi's speed and agility and knew that would be difficult to excute.
"He does however have a temper when someone mentions his past. There was an incident here when an arrogent genin decided to mock Senshi and he accidently said something about 'a nice little life' or something of the sort and Senshi went into a blind rage and nearly killed him. If just knew what it was that set him off, we might be able to lure him into a trap and incapcitate him. Fighting with numbers only increase his will to win, Senshi is just a beast and does not enjoy surrendering, so we cannot expect him to come peacefully." Shu explained as he tried to think of what it was in his past that makes Senshi so violent about it.

Sasaki remained silent for awhile, thinking, before traces of a smirk crossed his face; finally, something may be going right.
"We may be in luck. That little information might be enough..."
Without another word he stood up, spun around and walked briskly to the door, his robes billowing around him in his haste. He pulled it open and muttered several words to Chitose, who in turn hurried away and out of the building. Satisfied, he turned back into the room.
"Apologies. Now... We may know what angers him, but not if that's a good idea or not. On one hand, provoking him will cause him to act rashly and without thinking, yet from what I've heard it's in that state of mind he's at his most dangerous. The scroll you gave me states that the Cursed Seal is controlled by the chakra and willpower of it's bearer - the more he loses control, the more powerful he is likely to get.
This takes us a step back. To have the best chance of defeating him... we need him to not want to fight, and in a place where excessive damage isn't dangerous to civilians. But considering who I intend to send on the mission... it's likely he'll want to fight no matter what. But we can only predict his actions so much; the rest we'll have to wait and see."
He began to pace impatiently as if waiting for something, thinking all the while - they needed something to give them a distinct advantage in a fight other than numbers.
"Have you ever seen Uzeki fight? Could you perhaps tell me what sort of techniques he uses - genjutsu, kenjutsu, taijutsu, ninjutsu of which elements... Am I right in assuming he uses lightning style techniques, being from kumogakure?"

Shu slumped into his chair with his hand on his temple to recall what Senshi specialized in. "You are correct, he has a handful of powerful Lightning Style Jutsus, as well as an aresenal of devastating taijutsu moves that can easily cripple a talented jounin if he is hit badly." Shu responded as he remembered the info from the top of his brain.
"There is however one move that is by far the most destructive move that Senshi knows, it called: Thunder Crash." Shu said as he remembered when he heard the reports of Senshi's move. "Thunder Crash is when Senshi builds and stores his chakra in his body and morphs it into electricity. As his chakra builds, the more power the electricity has as it leaks his body as it builds. Then he releases it all at once, as the bolts rips apart the surroundings and destroys anything in it's path." Shu explained as his face showed that he knew that power was to be feared.
"But if it is anything, that move is Senshi's last resort, and he prefers taijutsu over anything else. So we can be able to prepare against such an attack, and hopefully, w can minimize the damage." Shu explained as he sat up in his chair and lean towards his desk to rest his arms on it.
"Question is, how we stop such an attack that destroys anything around it? And the bigger question is how do we corrode Senshi's will to fight? That beast backs down from no one."

Once again, the kage of the hidden mist kept his silence, thinking. After a moment, he allowed his face to crack into an almost sinister grin.
"We don't. Simple as that. Senshi is going to fight with every ounce of strength in his body, whether we like it or not... And we're going to meet him head on." He let his grin widen at the scale of the battle that might take place and the trials that would be put in their way.
"This is a good chance to test the strength of the ninja - no, the tools - of our villages." He muttered more to himself than the Raikage. "It almost pains me to know I can't see this fight in person."
He continued thinking to himself for several minutes, before a sharp knock at the door interrupted his chain of thought.
"Finally." He spoke again, as Chitose re-entered the room, followed by Katsumi. Kojirou rose to meet them with the same unnerving smile.
"Kuninobu. Sasaki. I'm assigning both of you to a multinational team alongside whoever the Raikage here sees fit. Your mission is to seek out and destroy the rogue Cloud ninja, Senshi Uzeki, at whatever cost. I trust neither of you will fail your country."
Having silenced them both, he turned back to the Raikage.
"I believe you've met both of my subordinates; Katsumi has previous experience fighting Uzeki and can provide invaluble information about the target, aswell as having knowledge in healing and genjutsu techniques. Chitose is an expert in close-range combat and a superb tactician, and will be of help tracking and engaging the target. The rest of the team, I leave up to your discretion."
"My wife here can answer any further questions." He said, indicating Chitose, and turned to leave the room, still grinning.

Post by Katsumi on Jun 1, 2008 11:35:36 GMT -5
Having been woken and dragged away suddenly by the strict wife of the Mizukage, Katsumi reluctantly trudged behind her towards the looming bulk of the Raikage's tower. He was already able to assume what was happening - probably more bother about that insecure Senshi guy. Typical. After scaling the many staircases and being dragged into the office of the Raikage himself, Katsumi was shocked to see the Mizukage standing waiting for them - and extremely unnerved by his smile.
Shit. I've seen that grin before. I'm screwed. He's probably sending me on some suicide mission to find Orochimaru or something... but why me? And why am I the only one being summoned here?
He remained silent through the lecture and waited for the kage to turn to leave before breathing freely again, but his mind was still occupied with what he'd just heard.
Yup, I was right. We're screwed. Not only am I being sent on a mission way out of my league, but I'm doing it alongside her - no doubt she's like him and will expect me to be all high and mighty out on the field. And if we escape alive? He'll probably have us strung up for "failing our country". Great. I need a break from this crap.
He forced himself to stop thinking so negatively - or at all. The room had gone silent, and it felt like he was the one supposedly meant to contribute. He glanced at Chitose, who nodded to him, and he remembered the questions she'd asked him on the way here.
"Senshi's rage..." He began, searching for the right words. "He goes insane whenever he hears about his past - his childhood. Once that happens, his power increases tenfold and he loses control, trying to destroy everything in sight. I've seen it, and It's not something we can fight against."
"But, his past might be what makes him so powerful." He paused, unwary. No one spoke, so he decided to explain.
"There's a major drawback to my genjutsu techniques. That is that a part of me also witnesses what my target does - I see what they see, which is their worst memories and darkest fears. It doesn't affect me in the same way as it does them because they're not my own memories or fears, but Senshi's... He's different to everyone else I've seen."
"In his mind, I saw a laboratory. A scientist, experimenting on a young child - Senshi's former self. I don't know who this guy was, but he looked to be doing some pretty messed up stuff - It can't have been legal. The next thing I saw was the child-Senshi breaking free of and destroying the lab in a rage unfit for someone his age, and with a raw power I've never seen before. That's all I was able to see before the real Senshi lost it and broke free of my technique. But those who images were enough to set him off, and I'm lucky to have escaped."
"Needless to say, we need to avoid that as best we can. Which means I can't use my genjutsu techniques unless we're extremely desperate."

Shu looked up at the new ninja that was dragged into his office and remembered his face. Kuninobu Katsumi, the envoy that allowed this meeting to take place. What he said greatly surprised him, he finally knew the piece of the puzzle that make Senshi.
"I see....So that's why he is so violent. He wants revenge, and because the source is no longer there, he takes out his rage on anyone that angers him." Shu pointed out as he sighed, "This gives a new insight on Senshi, at least we now know what sets him off."
Shu looked at Katsumi as if he was studing him, he did not think that Katsumi alone would be able to carry out the mission that the Mizukage spoke of. "Forgive my bluntness, Lord Mizukage, but tell me he's not the only one you intend to send on the mission you said earlier." Shu said, fully thinking that Katsumi did not have what it took to take on Senshi.
"If the mission you speak of, is what I think it is, then Kuninobu stands no chance against Senshi. Isn't there anyone else you could send with him?" Shu asked knowing the destructive powers that Senshi now possessed and one mere ninja would not stand a chance against him.

Kojirou stopped as he reached the door to listen to the Raikage's reply.
"You know what? I think you're right." He said, still grinning. "Perhaps the Lightning Country needs more help. Fine, I'll assign a third to the team, seeing that Kumogakure has already lost several decent ANBU to this man. Chitose!" He suddenly turned his voice stern as he gave an order to his wife, "Fetch Hasame Yashogazhi and bring him here. He'll be joining you. Don't mess up."
"Shu, Hasame is another skilled swordsman, and like Senshi is easily angered. He's my subordinate, but that's not to say he does everything by the book. This might turn into a battle for the better of two evils. And careful, he might bite."
He allowed himself a final smirk before shutting the door behind him and leaving.

Shu sat in his chair as the Mizukage departed, and he wanted to know more about this Hasame Yashogazhi, so he look to the remaining two to find out more about this person.
"Miss Sasaki, Kuninobu, can you tell anything about this Hasame that Kojiro spoke of?" Shu asked as he sat in his chair.
