After the largest civil war known through out the land, the Earth and Grass Villages have come to a mutual agreement. The respective countries of Earth and Grass have established a treaty and to much dismay have merged! The new Hill village is now soon becoming a once again stronghold in the Shinobi world and a true force to be reckoned with. Many countries ponder over what new arts may dwell in this new valley of united brethren.

The region, once a land of scattered mountains, has undergone a metamorphosis of sorts. After the great war, this site is now riddled with hills and mounds that are the direct result of earth and grass arts that have come to pass.

The last three appear once more during the Tea Country filler arc, along with a former Konoha Jonin, Aoi Rokushou. In a flashback, as Aoi and Idate Morino, Ibiki Morino's younger brother, were running towards its Hidden Village at night, it was shown to be filled with a great number of small buildings in a heavily wooded area, suggesting that it might perhaps be located in a rainforest.

Though he is not a Kage (the other villages do not recognize him as an equal), he has been nicknamed the Otokage ("Sound Shadow") by fans due to his Kage-level power and knowledge. Orochimaru is also one of the Legendary Three from Konoha. Though he is essentially the military dictator of the Sound village, he does not live in it.

This land is populated with the wet rice fields that grow here. There are a couple hills around but not very mountainous. This land is a perfect place to farm but since the Hidden Sound village is still here, you should really venture off to far into here.

| Village Hidden Among Snow (1 sub-board)
Little is known about this village at the time. In the movie, the ninja from this village had a special "chakra armor" which protected them from most attacks while amplifying the users abilities, and their jutsu arsenal typically used ice in the forms of various animals. At the end of the movie, the snow is subsequently melted and the country is renamed the Land of Spring. It is unknown what happens to the village.

It's lead by Shibuki, who seems too much of a coward for the job at first. Nothing apart from that is known about it at this point, but it stands to reason that its ninja specialize in water-based jutsu. Also, its leader processed a type of water called the Hero Water, which was extracted from a rather old tree. It gives the user ten times their ordinary chakra level. However, the strain of its use can prove fatal. There is one known missin-nin from Takigukure, Hidans Partner Kakuzu. They recently successfully captured the Nibi.

This village is the homeland of the Tsuru Clan. A powerful village that uses their chakra to defect attacks. They are known for their perfect chakra control, just like the cranes that have perfect balance.
